Massive attacks on Zaporizhzhia

On 22 March, Russian troops attacked settlements in Zaporizhzhia region. The occupiers used one missile, 456 unmanned aerial vehicles (mostly FPVs), carried out 25 air strikes, 5 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems and 334 artillery shellings. The attacks damaged private and multi-apartment buildings, commercial buildings, transport and infrastructure.

Civilian casualties

A 54-year-old local resident was killed in Komyshuvas as a result of an air strike, and another 54-year-old man was injured. Russian troops used drones in the villages of Ostrovske and Mykhailivske. The attacks killed a 54-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman. A 19-year-old boy and a 30-year-old woman were injured.

Investigation and recording of crimes

Police investigative teams and SBU officers worked at the sites of the attacks. Law enforcers are documenting Russian war crimes and collecting evidence of the destruction.

Context.

Zaporizhzhia region is regularly shelled by Russian troops. As a result of the attacks, civilians are killed and injured, and residential and critical infrastructure is damaged.
