Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defence Forces have been restraining Russian troops' attempts to advance deeper into the country. The occupiers suffered significant losses in manpower and equipment. The enemy used massive air strikes, kamikaze drones and shelling on Ukrainian positions and populated areas.
Hostilities and main areas of attack
Over the past day at the front 134 combat engagements were recorded. Russian troops attempted to break through the Ukrainian defences in various directions, but all attempts were repelled.
The enemy was most active in the following areas:
- Severo-Slobozhansky and Kursky: 103 attacks, one attack, two air strikes involving five UAVs.
- Pivdenno-Slobozhanskyi: five breakthrough attempts in the areas of Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, Zybyno and Okhrimivka.
- Kupianske: four attacks towards Borivska Andriivka, Kupiansk, Novoplatonivka and Kivsharivka.
- Lymansky: four attempted attacks in the direction of Shyikivka, Dibrova, Serednye, Stavky.
- Sloviansk: seven attempts to advance towards Zakitne, Riznykivka, Pazenove, Platonivka.
- Kramatorsk: three assaults in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Chasovyi Yar.
- Kostyantynivka: 12 attacks in the areas of Kostyantynivka, Pleshchiyivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, Sofiyivka, Novopavlivka.
- Pokrovsk: 29 assaults in the areas of Bilytske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Hryshyne, Shevchenko, Molodetske, Novopavlivka.
- Oleksandrivsk: five attacks in the areas of Ternove, Novohryhorivka, Krasnohirske and Yehorivka.
- Gulyaypillia: 15 attacks in the areas of Huliaipol, Solodke, Myrne, Olenokostiantynivka, Varvarovka, Zaliznychne, Staroukrainka.
- Orikhivskyi: one attack in the direction of Lukianivske.
- Prydniprovskyi: one attack in the area of Antonivskyi bridge.
No signs of enemy offensive groups forming in the Volyn and Polissya sectors were observed.
Massive air strikes and shelling
Yesterday, Russian troops conducted 67 air strikes, dropping 285 guided bombs. They fired 3,811 times at Ukrainian positions and settlements, including 57 times from multiple launch rocket systems.
The aggressor used 9,266 kamikaze drones. Air strikes were recorded, in particular, in the following settlements:
- Dnipropetrovska oblast: Ivanivka, Velykomykhailivka, Kolomiytsi
- Zaporizhzhia: Svitla Dolyna, Kyivske, Vozdvyzhivka, Novoselivka, Kopani, Gulyaypilske, Dolyna, Verkhnya Tersa, Tersyanka, Ostrovske, Komyshuvakha, Krynychne
- Sumy region: Volfino
Actions of the Defence Forces
Ukrainian aviation, missile forces and artillery struck 11 areas where enemy manpower and equipment were concentrated. One UAV control centre was also destroyed.
The defence forces continue to systematically destroy the enemy and put up effective resistance in all areas of the frontline.
Context.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has been attempting to break through Ukrainian defences and using massive shelling on a daily basis. The Armed Forces of Ukraine regularly report on the situation at the front and enemy losses. The operational situation remains tense, but controlled by Ukrainian troops.
