Ukraine is introducing automatic registration of men aged 25 to 60.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defence, specifying that the procedure will take place without a personal visit to the military enlistment offices.
How the system will work
The data will be taken from state registers, among other things:
The State Register of Civil Status Acts;
databases of the State Migration Service;
of the taxpayer register.
This will allow for the automatic generation of registration cards of persons liable for military service without the need for citizens to apply.
Why do it
According to the Ministry of Defence, this step has several goals:
optimise the operation of the TCC;
avoid duplication of information;
simplify military registration during martial law.
«This is not about mobilisation, but about updating data. Automatic registration will allow us to quickly and efficiently maintain the register of persons liable for military service,» the ministry explained.
What it means for citizens
Ukrainians do not need to apply for registration - the system will work in the background. At the same time, persons liable for military service must report changes in their place of residence or work on their own.
