Low-income families will receive winter assistance of UAH 6.5 thousand - Ministry of Social Policy
Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Alexander Ulyutin said that the government had decided to payment of a one-off winter allowance low-income families.
«This year we are allocating targeted support for low-income families. Each family will receive 6.5 thousand hryvnias to prepare for the cold season,» said Ulyutin.
Who will receive assistance
They are eligible for payments:
Families registered as low-income people;
recipients of state child benefit;
internally displaced persons with low incomes.
Payments will be made by through social security authorities or to the recipients' bank accounts within the framework of existing assistance programmes.
Programme objective
As explained by the Ministry of Social Policy, the decision was made to Mitigation of socio-economic impacts tariff increases and seasonal increases in energy prices.
«We want to ensure that no Ukrainian family is left without warmth and support during this difficult period,» the Minister stressed.
When payments will start
The first payments are scheduled as of November 2025. The government does not rule out that, if necessary, the programme will be extended for the following months.
