Commander of a Chechen unit «Akhmat Apti Alaudinov said that its fighters are ready to go to Iran to take part in the war against the United States.

According to him, Chechen units are currently are awaiting an order from Russian President Vladimir Putin, to join the war effort.

In his statement, Alaudinov also used harsh rhetoric, declaring his readiness to fight against the Americans.

Context of the statement

Such statements were made against the backdrop of a rapid escalation of the conflict between Iran, the United States and Israel, which in recent days has been accompanied by strikes on military targets and drone attacks.

There is currently no official confirmation that Russia plans direct military intervention on the side of Iran.

However, the rhetoric of some Russian military commanders may indicate attempts to demonstrate support for Tehran.

Possible consequences

Experts note that even the symbolic participation of Russian units in the conflict could significantly aggravate the international situation.

A direct clash between Russian and US forces would be one of the most dangerous scenarios for global security.

So far, the Kremlin's official position on the possible deployment of troops to Iran has not been announced.
