Attention to the successor to the regime is growing in North Korea
DPRK leader's daughter Kim Jong-un is increasingly appearing in public with her father, which may indicate that she is preparing for a future role in the government. In new photos released by the state-run KCNA news agency, she is seen driving a military tank during a training exercise.
It is about a girl known as Chu E., who, according to experts, is about 13 years old. Analysts point out that her public activity has increased significantly in recent years, which may indicate that she is being shaped as a potential successor.

In the released images, Chu Ae is standing in the hatch of the tank with an expression of concentration, while Kim Jong Un stands nearby, smiling and watching the process. They were also accompanied by soldiers in the armoured vehicle.
According to the KCNA, the exercises concerned a new tank model with improved performance:
increased effectiveness against drones
protection against anti-tank missiles
Improved offensive capabilities
These tests were part of a wider programme to modernise the DPRK army.

Active participation in military activities
This is not the first time that the North Korean leader's daughter has been involved in military activities. She has been spotted before:
at a shooting range with a rifle
when shooting a pistol
at military parades and inspections
Despite this, the DPRK authorities have not officially confirmed her name or age.
Context.
In recent years, the DPRK has been actively modernising its armed forces. In addition to the development of its nuclear programme and long-range ballistic missiles, the regime is also relying on the improvement of conventional weapons, including tanks and tactical missiles.
The emergence of Kim Jong-un's daughter in the military context may be part of a long-term strategy for the transfer of power, which is already attracting the interest of international analysts and intelligence services.
