Peace in Ukraine is not yet close - Peskov
A peaceful settlement of the war in Ukraine is still far away, as the negotiation process contains many complex issues. This was stated by the spokesman for the Russian president Dmitry Peskov.
According to him, the discussion between the parties includes a much wider range of issues than just the territorial aspect.
What a Kremlin spokesman said
Peskov noted that many unresolved issues remain during the talks.
«We still have a lot of nuances in the negotiations: this is not just a territorial issue,» he said.
Thus, the Kremlin has effectively confirmed that it does not expect the war to end soon.
The context of the negotiations
The question of a possible peaceful settlement of the war between Ukraine and Russia is periodically raised at the international level. However, the negotiation process is complicated by a significant number of political, security and territorial issues that remain in dispute between the parties.
