An employee of Oschadbank, a former SBU officer, was detained in Hungary. He was forcibly injected with an unknown substance, probably the so-called «truth serum». Because of this, the man almost died.
Apprehension and use of the drug
Hungarian special services an employee of Oschadbank, who used to work for the SBU, was detained. During interrogation, he was forcibly injected with an unknown substance.
According to preliminary information, it was a relaxant used to obtain testimony during interrogations. The so-called «truth serum» was used without the detainee's consent.
Health effects
The detainee has diabetes. After the drug was administered, he suffered a hypertensive crisis with loss of consciousness.
Medical assistance was provided only after the man lost consciousness. Upon his return, blood tests confirmed the presence of traces of drugs.
Context.
The use of so-called «truth serum» is considered a violation of human rights. Such methods are often associated with the practice of the KGB.
The incident occurred after the detention of Ukrainian citizens in the case of Oschadbank. No official comments have been made by the Hungarian authorities so far.
