A large chemical plant in Kirovo-Chepetsk, owned by Uralchem, was targeted by Ukrainian drones. The attack destroyed an ammonia production facility and damaged a section of the main gas pipeline.

The plant specialises in the production of ammonium nitrate, a key component for ammunition production. The damage significantly affected the company's operations.

Second attack in a month

This is the second time the plant has been hit in the last month. On 4 March, the facility was attacked and destroyed by Lutyi drones:

  • production workshop;
  • composition of ammonium nitrate;
  • nitric acid shop;
  • ammonia tank;
  • other equipment.

Regular strikes led to the almost complete destruction of the plant, which supplied military raw materials to Russia.
