Russia offers the US a \u00abbig deal\u00bb with potential trillions<\/h2>\n

Russia has proposed a large-scale economic deal to the United States, which Moscow says could win the Russian president a Nobel Prize To Vladimir Putin<\/span><\/span><\/strong> and the President of the United States Donald Trump<\/span><\/span><\/strong>. This is reported by the The Economist<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

According to the publication, the documents of the Russian Security Council state that the implementation of such an agreement could have historic consequences for world politics and the economy.<\/p>\n

What Moscow is allegedly offering<\/h3>\n

As the President of Ukraine stated Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/span><\/span><\/strong> Citing Ukrainian intelligence, Russia could offer the US economic deals worth up to $12 trillion<\/strong> in exchange for sanctions relief.<\/p>\n

    recovery of Exxon Mobil's assets worth about USD 5 billion.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    It is reported that representatives of the Trump team are most interested in participating in large infrastructure and commodity mega-projects that could affect global resource markets.<\/p>\n

    Expert scepticism<\/h3>\n

    At the same time, experts and former US officials believe that the Kremlin's estimates significantly exaggerated<\/strong>, and the trillions claimed are unrealistic.<\/p>\n

    Even with optimistic forecasts, potential financial flows are estimated at around 340 billion USD per year<\/strong>, which is significantly less than the announced 12 trillion.
    Separately, the publication calls the idea of large-scale resource extraction by American companies in the Russian Arctic a fantastic one.<\/p>\n

    Economic rapprochement between the United States and Russia could help the Russian economy recover and create the preconditions for a new war<\/strong>.
