Iran to buy \u20ac500 million worth of Verba air defence systems from Russia<\/h2>\n

Iran has entered into a secret deal with Russia worth approximately \u20ac500 million to purchase Verba portable air defence systems. This was reported by Financial Times<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Details of the deal<\/h3>\n

According to the newspaper, the contract provides for the supply of 500 MANPADS and about 2,500 missiles for them. The documents were signed in December by representatives of Rosoboronexport, the Russian Ministry of Defence and Iranian military structures.<\/p>\n

Deliveries are planned to be made in three stages in the period 2027-2029.<\/p>\n
