US-Iran talks in Geneva end without a deal<\/h2>\n

Negotiations between the US and Iran on the nuclear programme ended without reaching an agreement. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Why the parties did not agree<\/h3>\n

According to the newspaper, the key reason was Tehran's refusal to accept the United States' tough demands.<\/p>\n

The Iranian side insists on its right to enrich uranium and does not agree to the transfer of the already accumulated stocks of enriched material.<\/p>\n

Instead, Tehran offered less radical alternatives, which, as noted, did not satisfy Washington.<\/p>\n
