BES ex-employee extorts $700 thousand from businessman and receives suspended sentence<\/h2>\n

Former employee Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine<\/span><\/span><\/strong> Vitaly Chernenko<\/span><\/span><\/strong> demanded from the capital's entrepreneur 700 thousand dollars<\/strong> for \u00abclosing\u00bb a tax evasion case.<\/p>\n

This is stated in the decision of the Ukrainian court.<\/p>\n

Detained while receiving money<\/h3>\n

According to the case, the man extorted money from the businessman, promising to influence the criminal proceedings.<\/p>\n

He was detained by officers of the Security Services of Ukraine<\/span><\/span><\/strong> at the time of receipt the first tranche - $100 thousand<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Court decision<\/h3>\n

The court found Chernenko guilty and sentenced him to 5 years in prison<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

However, the punishment suspended for 3 years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
