Mortality in this age group is three times higher than in many other countries. Experts emphasise the need for investment and targeted measures.<\/p>\n<h2>Data from the UN report<\/h2>\n<p>The UN annual report reports a slowdown in the rate of decline in child mortality in the world. Ukraine remains among the leaders in this indicator.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mortality of children under 5 years of age<\/strong> in Ukraine is three times higher than in a number of other countries. The highest risks are recorded in regions with conflicts and instability.<\/p>\n<h2>Risks for children in conflict zones<\/h2>\n<p>The mortality rate is particularly high in countries with ongoing armed conflicts and political instability. These countries include Afghanistan, Sudan, Haiti and the occupied territories of the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>The UN report highlights that almost three out of four deaths of children under 5 occur in these regions. Ukraine is also classified as a high-risk country due to the war and instability.<\/p>\n<h2>Context.<\/h2>\n<p>UN experts note that without additional investment and targeted measures, it is impossible to change the situation.
