Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Shostka, as well as the western and southern regions of the country, were shelled.<\/p>\n<h2>Consequences of the attacks in Zaporizhzhia and Poltava<\/h2>\n<p>In Zaporizhzhia, the attack resulted in a fire in a high-rise building, cars caught fire and a residential building was damaged. One person was killed and five others were injured.<\/p>\n<p>Residential buildings and a hotel were damaged in Poltava. The strike killed two people and injured 11 others.<\/p>\n<h2>Shelling in Sumy region, west and south of the country<\/h2>\n<p>Serious explosions have been reported in Shostka, Sumy region. Information on the extent of damage and casualties is being updated.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the cruise missiles were heading towards Ternopil, Vinnytsia and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Explosions were heard in these regions.<\/p>\n<p>Explosions were also heard in Odesa and Kharkiv regions during the night attack. Initially, there were no serious consequences in these regions.<\/p>\n<h2>Context.<\/h2>\n<p>The enemy has once again targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
