President Zelensky<\/strong> signed a decree on awarding the title of Hero of Ukraine To Andriy Parubiy<\/strong>. The award was posthumously given to Afanasiev, Chubenko and Vakulenko<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree awarding the title of Hero of Ukraine to Andriy Parubiy posthumously.<\/p>\n

In addition, three other Ukrainians who gave their lives in the struggle for Ukraine's freedom and independence received the highest state award:<\/p>\n

    Gennadiy Afanasiev<\/strong> - is a Crimean activist persecuted by the Russian authorities;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Stepan Chubenko<\/strong> - a young patriot from Kramatorsk, executed by militants in 2014;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Vladimir Vakulenko<\/strong> - is a Ukrainian writer who was kidnapped and murdered by the Russian occupiers during the full-scale war.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
