Ukraine receives another \u20ac4bn loan from the EU at the expense of Russian assets<\/h2>\n

The European Union provided Ukraine with a \u20ac4 billion loan using proceeds from frozen Russian assets.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Financial assistance from the EU<\/h2>\n

The European Union has transferred another tranche of financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 4 billion euros<\/strong>. The funds were provided in the form of a loan under the mechanism Ukraine Facility<\/strong>, which provides for long-term support for the Ukrainian economy.<\/p>\n

The peculiarity of this tranche is that it is formed from the proceeds of frozen Russian assets controlled in European jurisdictions.<\/p>\n

Where the money will go<\/h2>\n

According to the European Commission, the money will be used to:<\/p>\n

    stabilisation of the state budget,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    support for energy infrastructure,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    social payments and restoration of critical facilities,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    financing the reforms necessary for Ukraine's European integration.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Context.<\/h2>\n

    Ukraine remains the largest recipient of financial assistance from the EU. In total, Kyiv expects to receive about 18 billion euros<\/strong> within the framework of the Ukraine Facility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
