The parties signed a 10-year strategic defence partnership agreement. The document envisages joint projects and the creation of co-productions.<\/p>\n<h2>Meeting in Doha<\/h2>\n<p>On 28 March, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks in Doha with the Emir of Qatar Sheikh <strong>Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani<\/strong> and the Prime Minister <strong>Muhammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation, in particular in the field of defence and technology. The meeting resulted in an agreement on a long-term partnership.<\/p>\n<h2>Signing of a defence agreement<\/h2>\n<p>The Chiefs of Defence Staff of Ukraine and Qatar signed an agreement on defence cooperation for at least 10 years.<\/p>\n<p>The document provides for:<br \/>\n- implementing joint projects in the defence industry;<br \/>\n- creation of joint ventures;<br \/>\n- technological partnership between companies from both countries.<\/p>\n<h2>Context.<\/h2>\n<p>The agreement with Qatar was part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/economics\/ukraina-i-saudivska-araviia-hotuiut-uhodu-po-ppo\/\">strategies<\/a> Ukraine to expand international defence cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>Qatar is strengthening cooperation with European and Asian countries in the field of defence and innovative
