This is evidenced by investigative data and open court materials.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"co6zan\" data-start=\"748\" data-end=\"778\">What kind of violations are we talking about<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"779\" data-end=\"828\">These are criminal proceedings related to:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"829\" data-end=\"929\">\n<li data-section-id=\"ox65pk\" data-start=\"829\" data-end=\"856\">illicit enrichment;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"16hsfz4\" data-start=\"857\" data-end=\"895\">abuse of office;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"j8a5x2\" data-start=\"896\" data-end=\"929\">possible corruption schemes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"931\" data-end=\"1023\">In a number of cases, the defendants have already been served with suspicion notices, and some cases have resulted in court sentences.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1025\" data-end=\"1028\" \/>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1ft7if5\" data-start=\"1030\" data-end=\"1052\">The scale of the problem<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1053\" data-end=\"1242\">According to available information, similar cases were recorded in different regions of Ukraine. Experts emphasise that such figures indicate a systemic problem that requires increased control and reforms.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1244\" data-end=\"1372\">At the same time, it is worth noting that some of the cases are at the stage of pre-trial investigation, and therefore no final decisions have been made yet.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1374\" data-end=\"1377\" \/>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"stl7bk\" data-start=\"1379\" data-end=\"1397\">Government response<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1398\" data-end=\"1532\">The authorities have repeatedly stated the need to clean up the system and increase the transparency of the TCC. Possible steps include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1533\" data-end=\"1613\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1kh4jjj\" data-start=\"1533\" data-end=\"1551\">personnel changes;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"zv9zzc\" data-start=\"1552\" data-end=\"1588\">strengthening internal control;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1v435ih\" data-start=\"1589\" data-end=\"1613\">digitalisation of processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1615\" data-end=\"1686\">Initiatives to increase the accountability of officials are also being considered.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1688\" data-end=\"1691\" \/>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"eelqej\" data-start=\"1693\" data-end=\"1713\">Why it matters<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1714\" data-end=\"1932\">Such cases negatively affect the level of public trust in state institutions, especially in times of war. At the same time, experts emphasise that prosecution can be a signal for systemic change.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1934\" data-end=\"1937\" \/>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"64v6bf\" data-start=\"1939\" data-end=\"1951\">What's next<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1952\" data-end=\"2127\">The anti-corruption authorities are expected to continue inspections and investigations.
