On 22 April 2026, drones attacked a local oil refinery in Syzran, Russia. While countering the attack, Russian air defence mistakenly hit a residential building.<\/p>\n

UAV attack on Syzran refinery<\/h2>\n

An attack by unmanned aerial vehicles on an oil refinery was recorded in the Russian city of Syzran. According to preliminary data, the UAVs struck the industrial facility, which led to a local emergency.<\/p>\n

There is no information on the extent of the damage to the refinery. Local authorities have not yet released any official statements on the incident.<\/p>\n

The mistake of Russian air defence<\/h2>\n

While repelling the attack, Russian air defence units launched a missile that hit a residential building. Damage to civilian infrastructure was reported, with no details of casualties.<\/p>\n
