Starting from 4 May 2026, the procedure for obtaining a deferment from mobilisation will change in Ukraine. Persons liable for military service are advised to update their documents a few days before the expiry of the current term or use electronic services, if available.<\/p>\n

New rules for applying for a deferral<\/h2>\n

Starting from 4 May, all persons liable for military service must apply for a postponement under the new rules. It is recommended to do this a few days before the end of the current term. If you have access, you can use electronic services to submit your documents.<\/p>\n

Some persons liable for military service have already had their deferment automatically extended. You can check the status of automatic extension in the Reserve+ service.<\/p>\n

Automatic renewal and status check<\/h2>\n

For some people, the deferral from mobilisation was automatically extended. To find out if this applies to you, you should check the information in the application or the Reserve+ service. If the automatic extension did not occur, you must submit a new set of documents yourself. The procedure is similar to the initial application for a deferment.<\/p>\n

Procedure for applying for a deferral<\/h2>\n

If necessary registration of deferred payment<\/a> persons liable for military service must prepare a package of documents. The documents should be submitted in the same way as during the first application. If you have access to electronic services, you can use them to simplify the process. However, it is important to act a few days before the expiry of the current deferral period to avoid delays.<\/p>\n
