EU foreign ministers have rejected a proposal to suspend the Association Agreement with Israel. The decision was made after a discussion at a meeting in Luxembourg.<\/p>\n

During a meeting in Luxembourg, EU foreign ministers rejected a proposal to suspend the Association Agreement with Israel. The proposal was put forward by Ireland and Spain amid concerns over Israel's actions in Gaza.<\/p>\n

Most member states did not support the idea of isolating Israel, stressing the importance of dialogue and diplomatic efforts. At the same time, some states called for a review of cooperation if the situation deteriorates.<\/p>\n

Ireland and Spain insisted on the need for a tougher EU response because of the humanitarian the situation in Gaza<\/a>. However, the countries of Central and Eastern Europe opposed the suspension of the association.<\/p>\n
