On 23 April 2026, the European Union officially imposed sanctions against Russian rapper Timati. The 20th package of restrictions covering key sectors of the Russian economy was also approved.<\/p>\n

The European Union has included Russian artist Timati<\/strong> to the sanctions list. This includes asset freezes, a ban on entry to EU countries and restrictions on financial transactions with EU companies and citizens.<\/p>\n

The decision was made as part of the expansion of sanctions pressure on Russian figures who support aggression against Ukraine or engage in propaganda.<\/p>\n

EU approves 20th package today sanctions against Russia<\/a>. The new restrictions cover key sectors of the economy, as well as the financial and energy sectors.<\/p>\n

The sanctions targeted new banks, companies and individuals associated with the military, propaganda and circumvention of previous restrictions.<\/p>\n

Restrictions for Russian ports and the \u00abshadow fleet\u00bb<\/h2>\n

The European Union has imposed a ban on dozens of ships of the so-called \u00abshadow fleet\u00bb from entering EU ports. The use of European port and logistics services is also prohibited.<\/p>\n

The sanctions were extended to the Russian ports of Murmansk and Tuapse, as well as to foreign entities that helped to circumvent oil restrictions.<\/p>\n

Expansion of export and import restrictions<\/h2>\n

The new sanctions package contains additional export and import restrictions. They are estimated at hundreds of millions of euros.<\/p>\n
