At least four people have been killed and more than 30 injured in a nighttime Russian attack in Ukraine. A rescue operation is underway in Dnipro after a residential building was hit, with people still trapped under the rubble.<\/p>\n

Consequences of the attack: dead and dozens of wounded<\/h2>\n

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/strong> in the official Telegram channel<\/a> reported that four people were killed and more than 30 wounded in Russia's night attack on Ukraine.<\/p>\n

According to him, there are victims in several regions, including Chernihiv, Odesa, Kharkiv and Dnipro. The President expressed condolences to the families of the victims.<\/p>\n

Situation in Dnipro: people under the rubble<\/h2>\n

In Dnipro<\/a> a rescue operation is underway after a residential building was hit. According to Zelensky, 11 people are in hospitals.<\/p>\n

People may be trapped under the rubble. Rescuers are working continuously to find and rescue possible survivors.<\/p>\n

\n

Massive attack on Ukrainian cities<\/h2>\n

The President noted that Russia had been attacking Dnipro and other cities of Ukraine almost all night. The enemy used attack drones<\/a>, cruise missiles and ballistic weapons.<\/p>\n

The main targets were civilian infrastructure. Residential buildings, energy facilities and businesses were damaged.<\/p>\n

A call for partners: Air defence and sanctions<\/h2>\n

Zelenskyy stressed that such attacks should be a signal to international partners that Ukraine's air defence needs to be strengthened immediately.<\/p>\n

He also thanked for the decisions taken during the meetings in Cyprus on additional contributions to the programme PURL<\/a>, and stressed the importance of implementing these decisions quickly.<\/p>\n

Ukraine calls for new sanctions<\/h2>\n

The President stated the need to prepare the 21st package of EU sanctions against Russia. According to him, the delay with the previous package gave the aggressor time to adapt.<\/p>\n
