Kramatorsk came under another attack by Russian troops. The shelling of residential neighbourhoods killed two residents and seriously injured another. The occupiers once again struck at civilian infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Russian attack on Kramatorsk: details of the tragedy<\/h2>\n

On 26 April 2026, Kramatorsk came under the gun of Russian troops. In the morning, the occupiers struck at the city's residential area. According to preliminary information, the munitions hit directly into the neighbourhoods where civilians were living.<\/p>\n

Two civilians died as a result of the shelling woman<\/strong> and man<\/strong>. They were outside at the time of the attack, and their injuries were incompatible with life. Another local resident, a 50-year-old man, sustained a mine-blast injury, a fracture and shrapnel wounds. He was hospitalised in moderate condition.<\/p>\n

Destruction and the government's response<\/h2>\n

The attack damaged at least 8 residential buildings. The consequences of the attack are being assessed and the type of weapon used in the attack is being identified. Municipal services are working at the scene to provide assistance to the victims and to clean up the damage.<\/p>\n

Under the procedural supervision of the Kramatorsk District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation into a war crime has been initiated. The criminal proceedings were opened under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - violation of the laws and customs of war.<\/p>\n
