The US has once again extended the deadline for the sale of Lukoil's international assets - now until 30 May. The licence from OFAC allows the company to negotiate and enter into conditional agreements for the sale of Lukoil International GmbH, which controls the company's foreign assets.<\/p>\n

US extends deadline for sale of Lukoil assets\u00ab<\/h2>\n

On 29 April, the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced another extension of the deadline for the sale of Lukoil's international assets. According to OFAC<\/a>, The new deadline has been set for 30 May 2026. The previous deadline was 1 May, but the regulator decided to give an additional month to complete the negotiations.<\/p>\n

The licence issued by OFAC allows interested parties to negotiate and enter into conditional agreements for the sale of Lukoil International GmbH. It is this entity that owns the foreign assets of the Russian company Lukoil that are subject to US sanctions.<\/p>\n
