Tonight, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, firing more than 200 drones and striking a number of cities. Dozens of people were injured in Dnipro, Odesa and Kharkiv region, and residential buildings, energy facilities and transport were destroyed. The victims are being provided with the necessary assistance.<\/p>\n

Scale of Russia's night attack on Ukraine<\/h2>\n

Last night, Russia carried out one of the largest attacks in recent times, launching more than 200 drones against Ukraine, most of them Shahideen. In addition, ballistic missiles were used, and since the morning, about thirty more attack drones have been spotted hitting various cities across the country.<\/p>\n

Among the most affected regions were Dnipro, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia. The shelling targeted both civilian infrastructure and energy facilities, causing widespread destruction and power outages.<\/p>\n

Casualties and destruction<\/h2>\n

Seven people are currently being treated in Dnipro hospitals for injuries sustained as a result of of the Russian strike<\/a> around the city. In Odesa, five people were hospitalised, two of them in serious condition. One more person was injured in the Kharkiv region.<\/p>\n

The attacks in Dnipro destroyed a bus, damaged a residential building, a shop and several cars. Residential buildings were hit in Odesa, and power grid facilities were attacked in Mykolaiv region, leaving thousands of families without electricity. Damage to civilian infrastructure was also reported in Zaporizhzhia.<\/p>\n

Government response and assistance to victims<\/h2>\n

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/strong> emphasised that all victims are being provided with the necessary assistance. Medical staff are working in an intensified mode to provide treatment and support to all those injured during the night and morning attacks.<\/p>\n

The authorities urge residents of the regions to follow safety rules and respond promptly to air raid warnings. Local authorities, together with rescuers and power engineers, are working to eliminate the consequences of the strikes and restore electricity supply.<\/p>\n
