Particular attention was drawn to the giant launcher, which, according to analysts, can be up to 80 metres long. The novelty may indicate Russia's attempt to expand the capabilities of long-range strike systems and increase the scale of simultaneous drone launches.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1xdtfql\" data-start=\"738\" data-end=\"762\">What was shown at the parade<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"764\" data-end=\"1089\">The released footage shows a new version of the Geranium family of strike drones, which is distinguished by its larger size and modernised design. If the new drone does indeed have an increased range and speed, it could put an additional strain on Ukraine's air defence system.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2094\" data-end=\"2332\">The launcher itself is of particular note. Its large size may mean an attempt to create a complex for the serial launch of drones or even a new category of strike systems capable of combining the functions of a cruise missile and a drone.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1ex02o7\" data-start=\"2334\" data-end=\"2354\">Expert reaction<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2356\" data-end=\"2606\">After the footage was released, military observers noted that Russia continues to actively develop long-range drones. Some experts believe that the Geranium-5 could be another modernisation of Iranian technology <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/science-tech\/dron-chaklun-perehoplennya-shahed\/\">Shahed<\/a> with Russian components.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2608\" data-end=\"2749\">At the same time, final conclusions about the capabilities of the new system can only be drawn after additional data is
