Eurovision Director Martin Green said that Russia could return to the song contest if its broadcaster meets the requirements for membership. His comments have already provoked a sharp reaction among UK MPs.<\/p>\n

The key issue was the lack of evidence of the broadcaster's independence from the Kremlin. This, not the war, was the reason for the country's exclusion from the competition.<\/p>\n
