Russia has launched the largest nuclear weapons exercise in recent years. More than 64,000 troops, strategic aviation and missile submarines are taking part in the manoeuvres, and three MiG-31Ks are being moved to an airfield in Belarus.<\/p>\n

Russia has launched large-scale nuclear weapons exercises, involving more than 64,000 troops, 8 nuclear-powered missile boats, 200 launchers, and strategic and fighter aircraft.<\/p>\n

The aviation component involves six Tu-95MS strategic bombers, two Tu-160s, three Tu-22M3s and three MiG-31Ks. The latter, according to confirmed information, are already being redeployed to the Belarusian airfield of Machulishchi.<\/p>\n

Deployment of three MiG-31Ks on the territory of Belarus<\/a> creates an additional threat to the region. This is not the first time that Machulyshche has been used by the Russian military to deploy aircraft capable of carrying hypersonic Kinzhal missiles.<\/p>\n
