Ukraine is once again discussing the issue of increasing responsibility for employees of territorial recruitment centres and military medical commissions. The Verkhovna Rada committees are already considering draft laws that provide for not only administrative but also criminal liability for violations during mobilisation and false conclusions about fitness for service. The initiators are convinced that this should stop the formal approach and abuses in the process of registration and medical examination of persons liable for military service.<\/p>\n

Verkhovna Rada Committees work on new rules<\/h2>\n

The issue of increasing responsibility for officials of territorial recruitment centres (TRCs) and members of military medical commissions (MMCs) is back on the parliamentary agenda. As the chairman of the subcommittee on law enforcement agencies of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement explained in a commentary to Telegraph Sergey Alekseev<\/strong>, Several draft laws are currently being considered, which are planned to be combined into one powerful document.<\/p>\n

Legislative initiatives relate to liability for violation of the legislation on mobilisation<\/a>. The issue of military medical commissions is being considered separately. \u201cIn order to remove this formalism, when a person is dragged to the MMC, he or she passes the MMC in 5 minutes. They do not examine the real condition of the person, do not examine all his or her illnesses. There is a draft law that establishes criminal liability for deliberately false conclusions of the preliminary medical examination,\u201d Alekseev said.<\/p>\n

According to him, there have been cases when test results were \u201cpassed\u201d on other people, and the patients themselves later denied their involvement in these documents.
