The Ukrainian Air Force repelled a large-scale combined attack by the enemy using missiles and drones. Air defences shot down over 600 targets, including 55 missiles and 549 enemy drones. The main focus of the attack was Kyiv.<\/p>\n

Basic context<\/h2>\n

The enemy conducted a massive air strike against Ukraine using attack drones, aerial ballistic, ballistic, cruise and anti-ship missiles. The total number of weapons recorded air raid<\/a> amounted to 690 units - 90 missiles and 600 drones of various types.<\/p>\n

The Air Force's radio-technical troops detected among the attacking missiles: one medium-range ballistic missile, two X-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, three 3M22 Zirkon anti-ship missiles, 30 Iskander-M\/S-400 ballistic missiles and 54 X-101, Iskander-K and Kalibr cruise missiles. The launches were based in different regions of the Russian Federation and the TOT of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.<\/p>\n

In addition to missiles, the enemy used 600 attack unmanned aerial vehicles such as Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, Bandera and Parodya imitation drones launched from Russia and the temporarily occupied Crimea.<\/p>\n

Defence and consequences of an attack<\/h2>\n

The Ukrainian air defence repelled the attack with the help of aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups. As of 09:30, 604 targets were shot down or suppressed - 55 missiles and 549 drones.<\/p>\n

In particular, the air defence system destroyed 11 Iskander-M\/S-400 ballistic missiles, 44 X-101, Iskander-K and Kalibr cruise missiles, as well as most of the enemy drones. In addition, 19 missiles did not reach their targets and their impact sites are being clarified.<\/p>\n

The attack involved 16 missiles and 51 attack UAVs at 54 locations across Ukraine. The wreckage of the downed drones landed in 23 different areas, indicating the widespread nature of the attack.<\/p>\n

This massive combined attack<\/a> demonstrates an increase in the intensity of the use of various types of weapons, including high-precision missiles and drones. The enemy is using missile systems from different regions of the Russian Federation and the occupied territories, which indicates coordination of actions on several fronts simultaneously.<\/p>\n

The effective operation of Ukraine's air defences demonstrates the high level of training and equipment of the defence forces, as well as their ability to repel sophisticated air attacks.
