Personalised and presidential scholarships will also increase, and the new rules will apply to students of private higher education institutions who study on a state-funded basis.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ai-tldr\">\n<h2>Briefly about the changes<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>From September 2026, the minimum academic scholarship will increase to UAH 4000.<\/li>\n<li>Presidential scholarship for students is increased to UAH 20,000.<\/li>\n<li>Payments for students of private higher education institutions under state orders are being levelled.<\/li>\n<li>The state budget for 2026 allocates UAH 6.6 billion for scholarships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Significant increase in student scholarships in 2026<\/h2>\n<p>Starting 1 September 2026, the minimum academic scholarship for students at universities will increase from UAH 2,000 to UAH 4,000. The presidential scholarship will increase from UAH 10,000 to UAH 20,000, making it the highest among all categories. In total <a href=\"https:\/\/mof.gov.ua\/uk\/news\/biudzhet-2026_z_veresnia_stipendii_dlia_studentiv_zrostut_vdvichi-5469\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"about\">in the state budget for 2026<\/a> UAH 6.6 billion is provided for scholarships, which is UAH 1.2 billion more than in 2025. The largest amount is provided for the presidential scholarship - UAH 20,000 per month.<\/p>\n<h2>New rules for private institutions and colleges<\/h2>\n<p>For the first time, the minimum academic scholarship of UAH 4,000 will be guaranteed to students of private higher education institutions who study under the state order. This levels the playing field for funding regardless of the form of ownership of the institution.<\/p>\n<p>Scholarships for college students will also be increased: the presidential scholarship will rise from UAH 7,600 to UAH 15,200, and the minimum academic scholarship from UAH 1,510 to UAH 3,020. At the same time, basic payments at colleges will remain lower than at universities.<\/p>\n<p>These changes reflect the state's desire to provide a fairer system of student support and increase motivation to study.
