The driver of the BMW, who was <strong>15 years<\/strong>, collided with a Skoda driven by <strong>17-year-old school graduate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Consequences for victims<\/h2>\n<p>After the collision, the 17-year-old Skoda driver was hospitalised with serious injuries. The boy died in intensive care without regaining consciousness. The driver of the BMW was not authorised to drive, which was confirmed by the police of Kyiv region.<\/p>\n<h2>Law enforcement response<\/h2>\n<p>The police opened criminal proceedings over <em><strong>Article 286(2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong><\/em> - violation of road safety rules that resulted in the death of a person. The investigation into the circumstances of allowing minors to drive vehicles is also ongoing.<\/p>\n<h2>Additional offences are possible<\/h2>\n<p>Based on the results of the investigation, cases may be initiated for <strong>Articles 287<\/strong> and <strong>166 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong> - malicious failure to fulfil childcare responsibilities and other violations related to the admission of minors to drive.
