The information was published by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/health\/ai-artificial-intelligence-vaccine-virus-antigen-science-b2989896.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Independent<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Professor <strong>Jonathan Heaney<\/strong> from the University of Cambridge, stressed that the vaccine is based on the principle of \u00abone shot for all\u00bb within the virus family, which means a significant simplification and expansion of the range of protection.<\/p>\n<h2>Results of the first phase of clinical trials<\/h2>\n<p>A Phase I study of 49 healthy volunteers aged 18 to 50 years confirmed the safety of the vaccine. The vaccine was administered using a needleless microgel technology that delivers the DNA vaccine directly into skin cells.<\/p>\n<p>Participants showed an immune response not only against <a href=\"https:\/\/uk.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/SARS-CoV-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SARS-CoV-2<\/a> and SARS, but also against other coronaviruses that have the potential to spread from bats to humans.
