They also developed a bot on one of the popular messaging apps, through which they entered information about men\u2019s military status, intended to mislead the military and law enforcement during checks of military registration documents. This allowed users of the fake app to pass through unhindered <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/suspilstvo\/kyiv-ta-velyki-mista-posyliat-mobilizatsiiu\/\">mobilisation measures<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Organisation and scope of activities<\/h2>\n<p>The group advertised its services on social media, providing instructions on how to download and set up the app after payment. The cost of access depended on the duration of use and ranged from 1,200 to 5,000 hryvnias. Payments were accepted via controlled bank accounts and the dropers\u2019 crypto wallets. According to preliminary<a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/UA_National_Police\/69287\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> data<\/a>, the number of users of the fake app exceeds 4,000, which indicates the significant scale of the fraudulent scheme.<\/p>\n<h2>Response of law enforcement agencies<\/h2>\n<p>The Kyiv Cyber Police, in conjunction with the Security Service of Ukraine, carried out a series of searches at the suspects\u2019 homes, seizing mobile phones, computer equipment, bank cards, SIM cards and documents confirming their involvement in criminal activity. Two people were detained on <a href=\"https:\/\/zakon.rada.gov.ua\/laws\/show\/4651-17\/conv#Text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Article 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine<\/a>. They have been notified that they are suspected of obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a state of emergency and of forging documents, in breach of the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<h2>Legal consequences for those involved<\/h2>\n<p>The suspects face up to eight years\u2019 imprisonment. The court has already ordered that they be remanded in custody. Investigations are ongoing to identify any possible accomplices. Law enforcement agencies emphasise the importance of combating such fraudulent schemes, which undermine the country\u2019s defence capabilities during a period of martial
