NATO is preparing a new phase of military support for Ukraine<\/h2>\n

US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth<\/strong> said. Ukraine to receive \u201cfirepower\u201d from NATO<\/strong>. He said this during a meeting of NATO Defence Ministers in Brussels<\/strong>, where further support for Kyiv was discussed.<\/p>\n

Hegseth emphasised that \u201cpeace is achieved only when there are weapons that are respected by the enemy\u201d<\/strong>, stressing the need to maintain defensive pressure on Russia.<\/p>\n

European allies to join PURL initiative<\/h2>\n

According to the Pentagon chief, European states will increase purchases of American weapons<\/strong>, which will be transferred to Ukraine as part of the NATO's new PURL (Purchase, Unite, Replenish, Lend) initiative<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This programme includes Joint funding for the procurement of ammunition, air defence and long-range strike systems<\/strong>.
The goal is to strengthen the combat capability of the Ukrainian army ahead of the winter period and repel new Russian attacks.<\/p>\n

US stresses that assistance to Ukraine is an investment in European security<\/h2>\n

Hegseth emphasised that Pentagon coordinates allied efforts<\/strong>, to guarantee the continuity of military assistance to Kyiv.
He also called on NATO to speed up the supply of weapons<\/strong> and support Ukrainian defence programmes at the strategic level.<\/p>\n
