Tetiana Berezhna has been appointed Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy and Minister for Culture.

The following person has been appointed Minister for Reconstruction, Infrastructure and Transport Mykola Kalashnyk. Vitaliy Bezgin has been appointed Minister for Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons.

Matviy Bidnyi was appointed Minister for Youth and Sport, and Vitaly Kim — Minister for Veterans’ Affairs.

Vygivsky has taken charge of the Ministry of the Interior, whilst Lyashko remains at the Ministry of Health

One of the notable personnel changes was the appointment of Ivan Vygovsky Minister of the Interior. No new heads of the Ministry of Defence or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have yet been appointed.

These posts are of particular importance in the context of a full-scale war. The new team will have to work simultaneously on defence capabilities, energy, the economy, social policy, reconstruction and European integration.

The change of leadership in a number of ministries also marks a transitional period for the civil service. The appointment of the Ministers of Defence and Foreign Affairs will be the next important personnel decision, particularly given the role of these departments during the war. Only then will it be possible to assess the full structure of the new Cabinet and the distribution of responsibilities for the main areas of state policy.

Serhiy Koretskyi has submitted a list of candidates for the Cabinet of Ministers to the Rada, including Denys Shmyhal.
