The reported number of artillery systems destroyed remained virtually unchanged: 65 compared with 66 the previous day.<\/p>\n<h2>The intensity of the fighting on 16 July<\/h2>\n<p>In its evening update for 16 July, the General Staff reported 199 combat engagements since the start of the day. According to this data, Russian forces carried out one missile strike using eight missiles, carried out 54 air strikes using 171 guided bombs, deployed 6,076 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,041 shelling attacks on positions and populated areas.<\/p>\n<p>The command recorded the highest number of attacks \u2014 25 \u2014 in the Pokrovsk sector. There was also heavy fighting in the Sloviansk, Kostiantynivka, Pivdenno-Slobozhanskyi and Huliaipil sectors.
