The goal is to support recovery, energy security and reforms on Ukraine's path to EU integration. The programme was officially presented on 12 September during a joint briefing by the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Denmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Note: in some Ukrainian notifications, the amount is reported in dollars as <strong>$375 million<\/strong>; The official budget of the programme is fixed in euros. <strong>\u20ac375 million<\/strong> (DKK 2.8 billion). <a href=\"https:\/\/newsukraine.rbc.ua\/news\/denmark-gives-375-million-to-rebuild-ukraine-1757759977.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RBC-Ukraine<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What the funds will be used for<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the parties, the funding is focused on three areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Resilience and early recovery<\/strong> communities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Energy security and transition to green energy<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Institutional development<\/strong> and the reforms needed to move closer to EU membership. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Separately, it is reported that a significant portion of the resources will be used to <strong>Mykolaiv and Mykolaiv region<\/strong> (up to 60% of the total programme budget).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Implementation period and format<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme is designed for <strong>three years<\/strong> and will start in 2025. The communications also mention the period of <strong>2025-2028<\/strong>, This corresponds to the planned implementation window for individual projects and contracts under the programme. Separately, Copenhagen is joining European financial instruments to develop trade with Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What's next<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the coming months, a portfolio of projects is expected to be formed in priority areas, including energy and the reconstruction of Mykolaiv region, with the launch of competitions and tender procedures.
