This was stated by Oleksandr Skoryk, a member of the Kharkiv Regional Council. He urged drivers to fill up their cars before setting off and to plan their route so as not to rely on refuelling whilst on the road.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\">\n<p><strong>Briefly about the main points<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The MP stated that the petrol station along the route had been completely destroyed.<\/li>\n<li>The exact boundaries of this section and the number of stations have not been specified.<\/li>\n<li>According to Skoryk, more than 200 petrol stations have been destroyed in Ukraine.<\/li>\n<li>More than 80 of them are located in Kharkiv and the surrounding region.<\/li>\n<li>Drivers are advised to check their fuel levels and the status of petrol stations before setting off.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Details of the route have not yet been made public<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Oleksandr Skoryk<\/strong> He did not specify the length of the stretch of road to which his statement relates, nor did he state the number of petrol stations operating there prior to the attacks. There is also no information as to whether there are any mobile or temporary fuel sales points near the route.<\/p>\n<p>An official list of petrol stations that have been destroyed along this route has not yet been published. Drivers are therefore advised to check the current status of specific stations via the networks\u2019 official channels, navigation services or by telephone immediately before setting off.<\/p>\n<h2>Over 80 petrol stations destroyed in the Kharkiv region<\/h2>\n<p>According to the MP, more than 200 petrol stations have been destroyed in Ukraine as a result of Russian attacks. More than 80 of them are located in Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region.<\/p>\n<p>These figures should be distinguished from the statistics on attacks. As of 30 June, the Kharkiv regional police had reported 89 Russian <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/viyna\/znyshcheni-azs-mezha-kharkiv-poltava\/\">attacks on petrol stations<\/a> since the start of 2026, including 62 after 1 May. This refers to the number of strikes on operational and non-operational facilities, rather than the number of stations completely destroyed: a single petrol station could have been targeted more than once.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv Region <strong>Petro Tokar<\/strong> attributed the increase in such attacks to Russia\u2019s attempt to cause problems with fuel and lubricants and to destabilise everyday life. The Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration <strong>Oleg Sinegubov<\/strong> In May, he also stated that the attacks on petrol stations were systematic.<\/p>\n<h2>How drivers can prepare for a journey<\/h2>\n<p>Before setting off from Kharkiv or Poltava, it is worth checking your fuel level and calculating how much you will need for the entire journey. This is particularly important for cars with a small fuel tank or high fuel consumption.<\/p>\n<p>Spare fuel may only be transported in a certified, leak-proof canister. The State Emergency Service advises keeping flammable substances away from sources of fire and heat; in the event of a fire, petrol must not be extinguished with water \u2014 you should call 101.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fill up your car before setting off.<\/li>\n<li>Check the opening hours of the petrol stations you need just before setting off.<\/li>\n<li>Do not store fuel in unsuitable or leaky containers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Risks associated with inter-regional transport<\/h2>\n<p>Limited availability of fuel along the route may complicate travel by private vehicles, freight transport and the operations of services using this road. At the same time, the available data does not automatically indicate a general fuel shortage in the region or a suspension of regular transport services.<\/p>\n<p>The danger is not limited to logistics. On 2 July, a Russian <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/main-news\/ataka-droniv-harkiv-pozhezhi-azs-postrazhdali\/\">a drone struck a petrol pump<\/a> A petrol station in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv: three people were injured, including a seven-year-old child, according to the police.
