The service will begin a gradual transition to the new model this week, so the update may not be available to everyone at the same time. Restrictions on files, images, voice features, data analysis and image generation will remain in place.

Briefly about the main points

Free and Go will have unlimited text messaging on GPT-5.6 Luna.

Separate quotas will remain in place for files, images, voice and image generation.

Think will give Luna more time to deal with complex queries.

Plus and Pro subscribers will have access to the more powerful GPT-5.6 Sol model.

The figures showing fewer errors are based on OpenAI’s internal tests.

The unlimited offer does not apply to all features

This new feature applies only to text-based chat. Separate restrictions will apply to uploading files and images, voice features, data analysis and image generation.

OpenAI also has measures in place to prevent abuse. During periods of high traffic, the service may temporarily restrict access, despite the stated unlimited text chat capacity.

Think will not grant access to its flagship model

A ‘Think’ button will appear for Free and Go users. It will allow them to GPT-5.6 Luna spends more time thinking things through when a query requires more complex processing.

However, Think does not switch the chat to GPT-5.6 Sol: the free tier and Go users will not have access to this model in normal conversations.

Paid plans offer greater control and Sol

Plus and Pro subscribers already have access to GPT-5.6 Sol and can set the amount of time the model spends searching for an answer. For Plus subscribers, the Medium and High modes are available; for Pro subscribers, the Extra High and Sol Pro modes are also available for longer and more complex tasks.

According to OpenAI, GPT-5.6 Luna makes 62% fewer factual errors, and Sol makes 68% fewer, compared with GPT-5.5 Instant. The company obtained these results through internal testing of financial, medical and legal queries, so responses on sensitive topics still require verification.

OpenAI It also states that Sol should provide more direct and better-structured answers and handle dates, figures, sources and complex queries more effectively. Access to this model and resource-intensive tools remains a key distinguishing feature of paid subscriptions.

Free and Go users will get unlimited ChatGPT text chats powered by GPT-5.6 Luna, but not unlimited access to all tools.

Користувачі Free і Go отримають безлімітні текстові чати ChatGPT на GPT-5.6 Luna, але не необмежений доступ до всіх інструментів.
[805620
806764
post-26725","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-science-tech","tag-806764
["GET
