Former Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has stated that he does not expect the Russian-Ukrainian war to end in 2026. In an interview with \u00abUkrainska Pravda\u00bb, he described the path to peace as a long one and warned that the threat of Russian attacks on Kyiv and other cities remains. This is the former minister\u2019s personal assessment, not the government\u2019s official scenario.<\/p>\n

Kuleba had previously noted that Russia may step up the frequency of its attacks<\/a>, but is unable to launch a significantly more powerful attack on Kyiv than in previous years.<\/p>\n The scale of the attacks\u2019 impact on civilians is confirmed by statistics from the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission: in May, at least 274 people were killed in Ukraine, and a further 1,763 were injured.
