According to the SBS, a Russian \u00abPantsir-S1\u00bb air defence system fired three guided missiles at the drone, but it reached its target. Since 6 July, the SBS has reported that it has successfully engaged 218 vessels in the Black and Azov Seas.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\">\n<p><strong>Briefly about the main points<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Security Service of Ukraine reported that a vessel had been hit in the Gelendzhik area.<\/li>\n<li>According to the SBS, the \u00abPantsir-S1\u00bb fired three missiles at the drone.<\/li>\n<li>Between 1 and 8 August, drones struck a further 12 vessels.<\/li>\n<li>Of the 218 vessels reported to have been hit, 134 were in the Sea of Azov.<\/li>\n<li>The SBS have announced the continuation of Operation \u00abMoLoChKa\u00bb.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>According to the SBS, the drone reached its target despite the air defence system being in operation<\/h2>\n<p>The target in the Gelendzhik area was a vessel which <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/viyna\/sbs-lypen-taktychna-hlybyna-tsili\/\">SBS<\/a> was attributed to Russia\u2019s \u00abshadow fleet\u00bb. During the attack, Russian air defences attempted to intercept the Ukrainian drone, the unit claims.<\/p>\n<p>According to the SBS, the \u00abPantsir-S1\u00bb fired three guided missiles, but the drone completed its mission.<\/p>\n<h2>Most of the reported incidents have taken place in the Sea of Azov<\/h2>\n<p>Between 1 and 8 August, Ukrainian drones struck a further 12 vessels linked to Russian shipping in two seas, the SBS said.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statistics compiled to date, as of 8 August, 134 vessels have been successfully targeted in the Sea of Azov, and a further 84 in the Black Sea. The campaign began on 6 July.<\/p>\n<p>In mid-July, the SBS reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/viyna\/udary-sbs-tankery-ppo-krym-donetsk\/\">among the objectives of the operation<\/a> These included tankers, dry cargo ships, gas carriers and tugs. This indicates that the unit is claiming to have struck various types of vessels, rather than just one segment of maritime logistics.<\/p>\n<h2>The SBS links the restrictions in the Kerch Strait to the operation of drones<\/h2>\n<p>Shipping through the Kerch Strait has been blocked since 10 July, the SBS has stated. As of 8 August, the agency had reported 30 days of restrictions and attributed them to the activity of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the Sea of Azov.<\/p>\n<p>The Kerch Strait is a maritime passage between the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.
