The most damage has so far been recorded in the Obukhiv district. The thunderstorm and heavy rain also damaged the electricity network: according to DTEK Kyiv Regional Power Grids, as of 10:00, more than 18,000 households were still without electricity.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\">\n<p><strong>Briefly about the main points<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Obukhiv district suffered the most damage from the bad weather.<\/li>\n<li>In Kagarlyk, residential and administrative buildings, as well as cars, were damaged.<\/li>\n<li>Emergency power cuts have affected four districts in the Kyiv region.<\/li>\n<li>Power companies have restored the electricity supply to more than 53,000 households.<\/li>\n<li>You must not come within eight metres of any broken wires.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Damage in Kagarlyk and other areas<\/h2>\n<p>In Kagarlyk, 62 residential buildings were damaged: 13 blocks of flats and 49 detached houses. The bad weather also damaged three administrative buildings and four cars.<\/p>\n<p>The effects of the storm were also reported in the Boryspil, Brovary and Bucha districts. Strong winds damaged the roofs of houses.<\/p>\n<h2>Services are clearing away trees and structures that pose a hazard<\/h2>\n<p>In other towns and villages across the region, trees have fallen due to the bad weather, including onto the carriageway. The damage caused by the fallen trees is being cleared up promptly.<\/p>\n<p>On the ground, emergency structures are also being cleared away. The necessary personnel and resources have been mobilised for the work.<\/p>\n<h2>Network recovery and security policies<\/h2>\n<p>A thunderstorm and heavy rain caused damage to the electricity network and emergency power cuts in the Boryspil, Bucha, Brovary and Obukhiv districts. Power has already been restored to over 53,000 households; the figures for customers without power are an up-to-date snapshot as of 10:00.<\/p>\n<p>Residents are advised to stay away from trees, advertising structures and other objects damaged by the wind.
