Of these missiles, 56 followed a ballistic trajectory. The most severe consequences of the latest strikes were recorded in Odesa, Kharkiv and Pavlohrad: there have been fatalities and injuries, and residential buildings, energy infrastructure and port facilities have been damaged.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\">\n<p><strong>Briefly about the main points<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Of the 61 missiles fired, 56 followed a ballistic trajectory.<\/li>\n<li>Power supplies are being restored in Odesa following an attack on energy infrastructure.<\/li>\n<li>In Kharkiv, a drone destroyed part of a high-rise block, killing two people.<\/li>\n<li>Nine people, including four children, have been injured in Pavlohrad.<\/li>\n<li>Zelenskyy is calling on partners to strengthen air defence capabilities and impose tougher sanctions against Russia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Power is being restored in Odessa following an overnight attack<\/h2>\n<p>Emergency repair work is continuing in Odessa and the surrounding region following <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/viyna\/masovana-ataka-odesa-9-serpnya-2026\/\">large-scale strike<\/a> regarding the energy infrastructure. According to the president, all the necessary services have been mobilised to restore the electricity supply.<\/p>\n<p>Residential buildings and port infrastructure were also damaged during the night-time attack. <strong>Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/strong> He linked the attacks on the port to Russia\u2019s systematic attempts to threaten global food security. As of this morning, eight people were known to have been injured.<\/p>\n<p>The Odesa region was the main target of the night-time air strike. Earlier, the local authorities reported that the floors in the upper part of the building had collapsed and that a search and rescue operation was under way; the number of casualties was being ascertained as the rubble was cleared.<\/p>\n<h2>The strike in Pavlohrad took place near a shopping centre<\/h2>\n<p>Russian troops have launched a heavy attack on Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region. According to Zelenskyy, the attack targeted the area near a shopping centre and energy infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Nine people were injured in the attack, including four children. The need for capabilities to counter ballistic missiles remains particularly acute.<\/p>\n<p>Zelenskyy had previously stated that in 2026, Ukraine would receive roughly three times fewer missiles for its air defence than in 2025.
