According to him, Russian manufacturers have been tasked with producing 11,000 attack drones in August, and a prolonged pause in the attacks is unlikely.

Briefly about the main points

The Russian Federation’s monthly targets for its main missiles are being met at a rate of 110–120%.

Russian companies have been given a target of producing 11,000 attack UAVs by August.

Production lines are being reoriented towards the «Geran-4» and «Geran-5» missiles.

In July, the Russian Federation launched 198 ballistic and hypersonic missiles – a record high for this year.

Moscow may be stockpiling some of the new missiles ahead of the autumn-winter campaign.

Missile programmes are exceeding their targets

According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, the Russian defence-industrial complex is meeting its monthly production targets for the main types of missile armaments by 110–120%. In July, the production target for the X-101 cruise missiles was met by 1,401 TP3T, for the «Kalibr» missiles by 1,111 TP3T, and for the X-35 by 2,001 TP3T.

Russia had planned to produce 72 X-101 missiles in July, but actually produced 87. The August target is again set at 72 such missiles. In July, 29 «Kalibr» missiles were produced, compared with the planned 26, and a further 26 are scheduled for production in August.

As of 3 August, the Russian Federation had also completed its annual production programme for «Zircon» and upgraded «Onyx» missiles ahead of schedule. Over the course of seven months, 33 «Zirconia» and 60 «Onyxes».

Drone production is shifting towards jet-powered models

The August plan for 11,000 attack drones includes the «Geran-1», «Geran-2», «Geran-3», «Geran-4», «Geranium-5», «Harpy», various versions of the «Gerbera» and other variants. Intelligence sources attribute the lower production volumes and use of UAVs in July to the reconfiguration of production lines, rather than preparations to scale back strikes.

Moscow is placing the main emphasis on turbojet «Geranium-4» and «Geran-5». According to Skibitsky, during one of the recent attacks, around half of the drones deployed were turbojet-powered. Their higher speed requires faster interceptor drones or short-range air defence systems.

Russia is adapting its strike capabilities in response to developments in Ukraine’s air defence systems and interceptor drones, experimenting with mesh networks for the online control of UAVs, and developing the «Rassvet» satellite communications system. At the same time, production of the «Geran» rocket-powered drones depends on Chinese turbojet engines, the cost of which Skibitsky estimated at 35,000–40,000 dollars per unit.

The use of ballistic missiles increased in July

The Main Intelligence Directorate has recorded an increase in the intensity of missile attacks since spring. In April, Russia launched 61 ballistic missiles; in May, 107; and in June, 134. In July, the number of ballistic and hypersonic missiles reached 198 — the highest figure since the start of the year.

That same month, Russian forces launched 153 X-101, «Kalibr» and X-32 cruise missiles. According to intelligence estimates, July was the second-busiest month of the year in terms of the use of this category of weaponry.

Skibitsky cited the reallocation of resources as one of the reasons for the increase in strikes. Since April, Russia has suspended production of the «Kinzhal» and X-32 missiles, diverting components, fuel and funding to other types of missiles.

The Main Intelligence Directorate expects a build-up of missiles ahead of the autumn-winter campaign

Russia may vary the number of missiles it fires at a specific target, but a prolonged pause in the strikes is unlikely, according to the deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate. The intensity of the attacks will depend primarily on Russia’s production capacity.

The intelligence report also suggests that Moscow will not deploy some of its new missile systems immediately, but will stockpile them for the autumn-winter campaign. Among the priority targets for Russian strikes, the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) cites the Ukrainian defence-industrial complex, rail and port logistics, and energy facilities on which the operation of critical infrastructure depends.

A prolonged pause in Russia’s missile and drone strikes is unlikely: the Russian defence industry is exceeding its missile production targets.

Тривала пауза в ракетно-дронових ударах РФ малоймовірна: російський ВПК перевиконує плани з випуску ракет.
[806815
805623
post-26890","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-viyna","tag-805623
["GET
