The lawsuit was filed on 7 August concerning the list of 269 candidates that the Central Electoral Commission had registered on 29 July.<\/p>\n<p>During the draw for \u00ab<a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/politics\/yabluko-dopustyly-do-vyboriv-u-rf\/\">Apple<\/a>\u00bb\u2026 was allocated the second position on the ballot paper \u2014 after \u00abUnited Russia\u00bb. The party has announced that it will appeal against the court\u2019s decision.\".<\/p>\n<h2>The lawsuit referred to photos, songs and ChatGPT images<\/h2>\n<p>\u00abRodina\u00bb has raised several sets of allegations: possible copyright infringements, alleged illegal funding of social media campaigns, and \u00absigns of extremism\u00bb in its posts and political stances.<\/p>\n<p>With regard to copyright, the claimant referred to photographs, stills from the film *War and Peace*, and images depicting the aftermath of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. The claims also concerned the phrases \u00abMay there always be sunshine\u00bb and \u00abAs long as there is no war\u00bb, which were uttered in an interview with the party\u2019s founder <strong>Grigory Yavlinsky<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, \u00abRodina\u00bb claimed that OpenAI had allegedly infringed its rights through the use of images created using <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/science-tech\/chatgpt-free-go-unlimited-text-chats\/\">ChatGPT<\/a>. Yabluko\u2019s defence team described some of the arguments as legally absurd and emphasised that some of the material had been published as far back as 2016\u20132017.<\/p>\n<h2>Calls to end the war were labelled \u00abextremism\u00bb<\/h2>\n<p>The political aspect of the lawsuit concerned the party\u2019s anti-war statements. \u00abRodina\u00bb claimed that certain publications by \u00abYabloko\u00bb and the slogan calling for a ceasefire agreement might show \u00absigns of extremism\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>The claimant also referred to the party\u2019s materials concerning the LGBT movement, which the Russian authorities have declared to be \u00abextremist\u00bb. The calls to cease hostilities mentioned in the claim were linked to Ukrainian territories which Moscow has unlawfully declared to be part of the Russian Federation: representatives of \u00abRodina\u00bb claimed that a ceasefire in the current situation would allegedly support a violation of \u00abRussia\u2019s territorial integrity\u00bb.<\/p>\n<h2>Candidates in constituencies do not automatically lose their registration<\/h2>\n<p>According to estimates by Yabloko, around 500 party supporters gathered outside the Supreme Court building in Moscow, although the courtroom was designed to accommodate approximately 150 people. A police van was stationed outside the court. Before the hearing, party leader Mykola Rybakov urged supporters to attend and stated that the plaintiffs had cited, in particular, the party\u2019s online support \u2014 posts, videos and user reactions.<\/p>\n<p>The court ruling does not automatically invalidate the registration of Yabluko representatives in single-member constituencies or of candidates in regional elections.
