In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a strike was recorded on the grounds of one of the children\u2019s hospitals, whilst at another address a major fire broke out in a warehouse. As a result of the attack <strong data-start=\"322\" data-end=\"349\">one person was injured<\/strong>. Two craters were formed on the grounds of the children\u2019s hospital, and the building\u2019s windows and a gas pipe were damaged. The gas leak was dealt with by the emergency services. At the time of the strike <strong data-start=\"541\" data-end=\"591\">the children and medical staff were taking shelter<\/strong>, so there were no casualties on the premises of the medical facility.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\">\n<p><strong>Briefly about the main points<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On the night of 11 August, Russia launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv.<\/li>\n<li>In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a strike has been reported on the grounds of a children\u2019s hospital.<\/li>\n<li>Two craters have formed on the grounds of the medical facility, and windows and a gas pipe have been damaged.<\/li>\n<li>The children and medical staff were taking shelter, so there were no casualties at the hospital.<\/li>\n<li>At another address, a fire broke out and a warehouse was damaged.<\/li>\n<li>Rescue workers extinguished the fire, which covered an area of around 1,200 square metres.<\/li>\n<li>One person was injured as a result of the impact and was handed over to the medical staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" data-section-id=\"1xvvlno\" data-start=\"1345\" data-end=\"1401\">A Russian missile struck the grounds of a children\u2019s hospital<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1403\" data-end=\"1658\">One of the targets of the Russian attack was a medical facility in <strong data-start=\"1459\" data-end=\"1493\">In the Shevchenko district of the capital<\/strong>. According to the city authorities, damage to the building and a gas pipe was reported following the attack on the grounds of one of the children\u2019s hospitals.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1660\" data-end=\"1848\">At the point of impact, the following formed <strong data-start=\"1686\" data-end=\"1699\">two craters<\/strong>. The blast wave damaged the building\u2019s windows, and a gas leak occurred as a result of damage to the gas mains. Gas service staff quickly brought the leak under control.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1850\" data-end=\"2033\">Most importantly, at the time of the attack, the children, doctors and other hospital staff were in shelter. <strong data-start=\"1941\" data-end=\"1995\">There are no casualties or injured people on the premises of the medical facility.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1aq9v92\" data-start=\"2035\" data-end=\"2078\">A warehouse caught fire in the Shevchenkivskyi district<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2080\" data-end=\"2312\">Another strike hit some warehouses in the same area of Kyiv. The strike caused damage and a major fire. The Kyiv City Military Administration confirmed that the warehouses had caught fire and reported one casualty.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2314\" data-end=\"2482\">The fire spread over an area of approximately <strong data-start=\"2344\" data-end=\"2370\">1,200 square metres<\/strong>. The rescue services contained and subsequently extinguished the fire and continued their work on the site of the destroyed building.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2484\" data-end=\"2637\">During an inspection of the impact site, the following was discovered <strong data-start=\"2529\" data-end=\"2556\">one injured person<\/strong>. She was handed over to the medical staff so they could treat her.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1lqli5p\" data-start=\"2639\" data-end=\"2689\">Kyiv was attacked following a ballistic warning<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2691\" data-end=\"2956\">An air raid alert was declared in the capital following a report from the Air Force that <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/main-news\/prognoz-balistychnyh-udariv-rosii-serpen\/\">the threat of the use of ballistic weapons<\/a>. Explosions were subsequently heard in Kyiv. The Air Force confirmed that Russia had used ballistic missiles during the night of 11 August.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2958\" data-end=\"3138\">The damage was recorded at at least two locations in the Shevchenkivskyi district \u2014 on the premises of a children\u2019s medical facility and at a warehouse.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3140\" data-end=\"3340\">Emergency and rescue operations following the Russian attack are continuing.
