This represents 72% of those covered by the review. For some employees, their disability status was revoked or its terms amended; others resigned to avoid undergoing the review. Having a disability allowed them to remain in their posts and claim benefits.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\">\n<p><strong>Briefly about the main points<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The review covered 437 prosecutors with disabilities.<\/li>\n<li>In 316 cases, the diagnosis was found to be incorrect.<\/li>\n<li>207 employees had their disability status completely revoked.<\/li>\n<li>The category or duration of status was changed for 109 prosecutors.<\/li>\n<li>Some of the staff resigned to avoid being vetted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>The status was completely revoked for 207 employees<\/h2>\n<p>Of the cases in which the diagnosis was found to be incorrect, 207 prosecutors had their disability status completely revoked. For a further 109 employees, the disability category or the duration of their disability status was amended. Consequently, the results of the review include both the complete revocation of disability status and adjustments to its terms.<\/p>\n<p>The review of prosecutors is part of a government campaign to re-examine decisions <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/suspilstvo\/fiktyvni-invalidnosti-kharkiv-skhema\/\">MSEC<\/a> regarding public officials, which was introduced in 2024. From 1 January 2025, the Medical and Social Expertise Commission (MSEC) in Ukraine was replaced by expert teams responsible for assessing a person\u2019s day-to-day functioning.<\/p>\n<h2>This status entitled the holder to a salary and a special pension<\/h2>\n<p>According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, disability status allowed prosecutors to remain in post, receive their full salary with allowances, and a special pension amounting to between 60% and 90% of their earnings. At the same time, the current Article 86 of the Law \u00abOn the Prosecutor\u2019s Office\u00bb provides for a pension of 60% of the monthly salary for prosecutors with a Group I or II disability under certain conditions; the figure of 90% may relate to previous regulations.<\/p>\n<p>A review or revocation of disability status does not automatically imply criminal guilt.
